Patient Forum News

  Our patient forum group was established in July 2008 and due to the commitment of our sixteen members the group still meetings regularly.

If you are interested in joining this group and would like to attend one of our meetings then please contact our Practice Manager, Angela who will gladly provide you with details.

 Patients Forum

  

Our Patient Representatives will:

 

·       Monitor services in the surgery

·       Give their views of services received

·       Provide feedback generally on the work of the surgery

·       Help create greater communication between practice staff and patients

·       To be part of the practice planning process

·       To be proactive with their issues

 

Expectation of the members of the Forum

 

·       They must be a patient at Heaton Medical Centre

·       Be committed to attend future meetings of the forum

·       They must abide by the terms of reference and the ruling of the Chair

 

The Practice will:

 

·       Provide travelling expenses to and from the Forum meeting if requested

·       Have a GP, Nurse, Receptionist, Practice Manager, and the Public Involvement consultant present at the meeting of the forum

·       Use the meeting to be in constant dialogue with patients, communicating plans and pressures.
