Heaton Medical Centre is a GP Training Practice.

Dr Paul Netts is mentor to Medical Students.

Medical Students
The practice participates in the teacing of medical students. You are under no obligation to have medical students sitting in during your consultation. On arriving at reception you will be given a consent form for you to sign. If you choose not to have students present, then they will leave the room prior to your consultation.

Staff Training
The practice will close for one hour on the last Friday of each month to enable essential staff training.

Approximately each quarter, the practice will participate in a Time-in/out session and usually lasts all afternoon. Emergency medical services cover will be provided during this time.
